Joseph is a musician, composer, writer, and community organizer currently incarcerated in New York. His work explores poverty, violence, xenophobia, and incarceration through music, storytelling, and advocacy. Wilson’s compositions have been performed at Carnegie Hall, and he has spoken publicly on healing and transformation through art and community organizing.Wilson is the founder of the Sing Sing Family Collective, which supports families impacted by incarceration through mutual aid, advocacy, and community programming. He also co-founded Straight to School, an initiative connecting justice-impacted youth with higher education and cultural institutions including Columbia University, the Guggenheim Museum, and Carnegie Hall.
